God Loves You- Like a LOT

     One of my favorite things about going to the beach is watching my siblings. Before that sentence registers with you and sounds really creepy, let me clarify. I love to watch their faces as they play in the beauty that is God's creation. As I look down at them, I wonder if God looks at us like this. I wonder if God finds infinite joy in watching us partake in life's adventures. I wonder if His heart swells with love and pride as He sees the joy shining through our faces.
     As I ponder God's love, I realize that the love I have for my siblings cannot even begin to compare to the love that God has for them. I mean, He created those two little humans that I so often want to hit. And, although many people have mistaken me as Presley's mom, I have no idea what kind of love that literally creating someone brings along. God knew us before we were ever even thought of, which makes me think that God's love is like a mom's love on steroids.
     In fact, the Bible even illustrates the extent of God's love for us in Psalm 103:11 which says: "His unfailing love towards those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth" (NLT). If y'all haven't seen Gravity, I'm just going to save you some time (and misery) and say that earth is a long way from outer space and George Clooney, let alone the heavens.
     So, the next time you feel as if no one loves you, or that you are unlovable, think of how I creepily stare at my siblings while they play in the sand and know that God delights in you in the same way that I delight in my small humans. His love for you is unconditional, all-consuming, and endless-and don't you forget it!
